Federica was previously a news producer at The National in London and a senior reporter at The Daily Star in Beirut. She has also reported extensively on unrest in Tunisia, Lebanon, Iraq and the occupied Palestinian Territories, and on environmental issues in East Africa for news outlets including Thomson Reuters Foundation, Politico, the Independent, Middle East Eye and Mongabay among others.
