Valeria Gholizadeh Gajkar is Country Director at Relief International in Syria where she oversees 47 health facilities and 22 protection spaces for communities in need. She also leads consortia that convene Syria's principal health actors and is committed to driving tangible and sustainable improvements in the country. Before joining Relief International, Valeria held key roles with aid organisations in Jordan, Myanmar, and Nepal. She has an MA in International Affairs specializing in Security and Conflict Management from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, Switzerland, as well as a BA in International Studies from the Florence University in Italy.
